Hi People,
Looking for a Little Advice,
Here in the Mystical Land of OZ the 69 Phoenix / Plymouth Tail lights
had Galvanised Backing Plates.
Most Other Blinkers / Tail lights have Silver Painted Reflectors which Fade with Age.
Have Any of You Fellas tried Fitting Aluminium Sheeting (or Whatever?) to Improve the Reflectiveness. (Don't Want to Overdo It.)
I'm Considering Using LED Globes, Plus Fitting a Third Globe & Going Sequential.
Under Consideration Only at the Moment, But I'm Open to Suggestions.
All Brilliant Suggestions Will be Considered. LOL
Regards & As Always T.I.A.

Cleaned thoroughly with Scotchbrite or similar and painted either bright gloss white, or aluninized silver paint would work well. White makes the red look a little "odd" in sunlight with the light off but that is the easiest and gives you the best result for time, effort and expenditure.
I got a bit carried away a couple years back and made a copper/nickel plating rig which gave really good mirrored finish results to the reflectors but when compared side to side against white paint on the reflector.... Externally there was no real difference to the ol' calibrated eyeball..!

O.K. Fellas,
Thanks for the Help.
I have a Couple of Spare Backing Plates, So I'll Try a Silver & a White to See How they Look.
I was Thinking the Aluminium Foil Might Look a Little "Tinny", But I Might Even Try That, Just to See.
Once Again Thanks!
Kind Regards Tony.M

Tinfoil can give very good results, especially when polished but usually for the deep dish of the reflector it's hard to get it to go in, sit and not tear becuse it'll only stretch so much. If you don't glue it down it moves about, and it'll end up full of wrinkles- but give it a try and tell me I'm right afterwards!
