Yea I was thinking that Fury vert was about right price then reality set in and transportation and bonded title fees brings it back too the overprice relm.
Really surprised the 1965 Plymouth Satellite hit that price.
The 1970 Fury Police 2dr post Michigan car was a real rot box and they finally got the trunk open and the added pictures were not pretty.

Yeah, I was watching lot 245. The 68 NYer. It went for $500 +$100+$75=$675. Then titling fees and transportation back to PA. It would've made a great parts car, but by the time I would've gotten it here I'm guessing i would've had close to $2K in a parts car. Probably that much in parts there, but I don't need them all right now.

That satellite is not worth 19K. That is a crazy price. Perhaps the original owner bought it back at the "any price" range.

Seems like there's no rhyme or reason to the bidding. Some went cheap and some were way high.

I'll do a separate one on the 1968 Plymouth Fury I PK car. Bidding went up quite a bit on the final day but nothing really happened at the hammer. (final minute)

I didn't think to much of the car even if it was a bonifide PK car as it (LOL) had 'Honest Rust' in the usual places and was a small block, But here's the money shot.

That crack free 3 spoke wheel with the un-damage full horn ring is a rare sighting and if it cleans up well is worth $$$. (even more if you find a white CHP one)
I very rarely see one this nice, most have the top part of the horn ring broken off.
Steve was gobbing on about the very rare clip on hubcap 15" wheels saying they were 'Severe Duty Fleet Only' items, I had a laff on that one as too me in my opinion they are just a styling carry over from the prewar cars. I see more of the clip on hubcap wheels around than the 1968 3 spoke steering wheels.
Later on as they found the keys and added 2 pictures of the trunk, nothing impressive in those 2 added photos.

A word of warning on this one (and any other old car) Hantavirus is real and still around and should be handled with caution.

Back when Covid started up I went to the CDC website and got a refresher on Hantavirus, take heed.

Oh yea one other item on this car that is fleet/taxi/cop related is the flex tube that goes down the passenger side to snake the radio wiring into the trunk that I rarely see these days. (I removed this from my 2 1968 PK cars and coiled it up with the thought of saving it for some cheep-azz exaust job lol)

Well in some of the information I gleaned from the live feed yapfest is that Haynie was a regular attendant at the big Moparfest Nationals and a member of some long standing local Mopar club and in one of the pictures this one was stored inside on a car lift so it may have been something special to him or some other club members.
Via the title documents it originally was titled in Pennsylvania and had a 1970 Nebraska inspection sticker on the windshield.
Amazing as that the car was pictured stored inside and appears to have been recently moved to the outside rows as to how dusty & dirty it got.
Seems in it's lifetime, traveled from PA to NB then AZ where it was dealer titled at some unknown date then to TX. (or NB to PA to AZ to TX)

What amazes me about going through much of the titles is that very few had odometer readings entered and most were in the 'Exempt' class even cars that were like 10 years old via the title dates. What is it, 8/10 years before states give up on recording mileage? Why even bother? I know in most of my car titling they just asked (or I filled out) the mileage, I know a few states use to have you take the car to the State police and have a officer verify the mileage but I take it that's gone out the window with a the millions of car transactions that take place everyday I guess. Kind of opens the door too all these 'It's a low mileage car.... honest' claims.

About this car:

I kind of wondered about this one as to if it was a real Ohio Patrol car as the Ohio title was from a private party and the velour seats didn't strike me as being SP fleet.
Could of been a detectives or some administrators car or FBI and doctored up to the Highway Patrol livery status. (me think)
I saw no chatter about the car over in the FB Vintage Car Group and they were recently roasting some bonifide 1987 Dodge Diplomat Salon Cop Car that was for sale at $39,000 and it was featured in some Mopar publication as a real SP Patrol Car, they classed it as in the clown class for having 340 bumble bee stripe on the trunk and other clown badgeing (and maybe a 340 engine transplant). It had these kind of seats which I remember as being the more durable kind for Troopers.
