Halfway between Detroit & Bama is Columbus.
You aint kiddin about the sunshine deal either. It is unbelievably gray here all winter & it's depressing. As for summer, my back yard is all sun all the time. Possibly the worlds hottest back yard. Good place for a FCBO pool party.

Not entirely true but I'd take a '70/1 over any metric one any day.
