Thats e body money.........for a cable.

C body parts are outrageous, not like fifteen years ago. I do understand however because this stuff is so hard to find

The whole E,B, scene is already beyond ridiculous.....A bodies coming right up behind them.

Yup, I just snagged two A bodies yesterday. It's going to be a treat just ordering darn near everything needed......unlike the endless searching my 65 polara requires.

I didn't have the camera. I was out cruising the Shelby, and ran into a buddy of mine and his wife. She was driving a new to her 71 Charger. I asked what happened to the Dart....to which they replied "wanna by them". Yup! Both are 74's. ones a four door parts car. The other is a two door swinger that was a leaning tower of power three in the tree car. It now has the four door k frame for the v8 mounts. Really clean car, but it's 60% disassembled. Comes with some transmissions, engines, heads, manuals, full set of Keystone wheels, lots of extra parts, the front end has just been rebuilt and needs installed. I got both cars for 1600 bucks. I'll snag some photos when I go over there to put them together into rollers. Still not sure where to put the two door, it's way to clean to leave sitting outside.

I could easily make a hundred fakes of that cable. Maybe 1 guy out of the hundred would question it.

I prefer NOS in many parts simply for proper fit and finish especially when it comes to sheetmetal, but something that can easily be reproduced with pretty much the same looks and function like a battery cable bought for that price is ridiculous. Besides it isn't even in perfect NOS condition. And btw, in my opinion an original battery cable can only be the one that was installed at the factory in the first place. Anything else is a replacement.

Nothing is the same as it was 15 years ago Dave..... LOL.

Once the parts get away from the hobbiest/collector and into the hands of the dealers the value skyrockets.
We need to get Anything we need for our C body's soon... It seems they are starting to catch on.

Thats a true statement...... Parts that have a part number on them, or a tag/sticker attached are generally replacement parts. Very few originally installed parts will have a number on them.

If you look at the high feedback numbers on the people bidding on this cable it tells me it's the "Frank Mitchel's" and other high price NOS parts sellers who will then mark it up even higher.

Sorry pal. Just that I have 1,001 one things to tend to my own car first. And they're not even getting tended to. You know how it is.
