This is a really nice survivor right here, he's probably going to try to get what he got it appraised at but to soon to tell what might buy it. Rock solid with 66K miles on it and he is the second owner.
'70 Newport 383 car, fender tag tells the story. Appraised at $8500 to 10000.
really nice!

Nice...........one of the last newport rags ever made, 6-22, or the last made. He should easily get 7500.........but at that price it might go overseas.

That 300 guy pisses me off...........I REALLY WISH people would stop lying about their cars. that car is not even close to fully loaded. and a 1970 300 with a factory 383 HP? Is he wrong or is this another special order exec car?

Matt, see if you can get a tag pic tomorrow if you are over there, will ya?

That 300 might not even be a 300 it has the same vin prefix as the Newport, shouldn't it have its own? I'll get better pics tomorrow.

Matt are you there the whole weekend? I will be there most of Saturday.

first 7 on a 300 should be CM27T0C or U (5th) if a 440 hp

first 7 on newport 383 hp should be CE27N0C

Both of those verts began w/CE.

Mike, pm sent!

That 383 HP really jumped out at me. To be that stupid and ask for "appraised" price sent me searching for my Educator (aka a baseball bat).

Did you happen to see what they were asking for the '64 Vert? I am more of a coupe guy, but that color looks good.

And that wagon that with the vintage drag car feel is badass!

I don't want step out of bounds here but you would need your educator all over the car corral. I think the is a marijuana field burning nearby every year

Have fun at the Nats boys !
To settle down Dave: there are usually not many people from overseas buying cars at the Nats

Over $40,000 for the '64!

well then take a look @ the dash vin and the door tag...if they both say CE then someone converted it. It is still a very rare bird if a newport 383 HP, prob 5% or less made with that engine. And if he bought the car the way it looks he may not have a clue that he was ripped off.....he did say in his other ad (cl, i think) thaT THE PREV OWNER HAD 10k INVESTED IN IT, perhaps it was all in 300 parts to change it over.

Standard engine for a 70 Chrysler 300 was the 440 T-code AFAIK; so it's pretty surely a conversion.

Evidently the money spent was getting it mechanically sound and putting the 300 interior in it. It's the one next to the 64 vert in case you hadn't figured that out.

Sweet!!! I hope some of the buyers get a whif too. ;)
