The great engine face off, how many do you have?

Not many, but still a mess. Loose engine wise, I have 389, another 389 with tri power, a 428 (all Pontiac), a 440 (at the machine shop). Trans wise I have a powerglide, a 727, and a 911 transaxle. Extra intakes etc. The engine to my 70 Mini is on a work table back from the machine shop.

1 318 in the Coronet that will get the 6.1
1 383 in a 66 Charger
1 440 in a 65 Sport Fury
1 5.7 in a 05 Ram Daytona

What's Your "Cylinder Index"?...LOL!

Well, let's see. If I do the math, my "Cylinder Index" would have to be at least 32. :laughing4: That's the ones that I know for sure still run;

-383 Mopar
-390 Ford
-351W Ford
-2.4 L DOHC Chrysler
-12.5 hp B&S
-10.5 hp Tecumseh
-4.0 hp Tecumseh
-18 cc Weedeater
for a total of 32 cylinders.

I have some other engines that may run, I'm not sure. They include a 194 C.I. Chevy 6-cyl., a 7 hp Tecumseh, a 7 hp B&S and a 3.5 hp B&S. If they all still run that would be a total of 41 cylinders. :laughing4:

Now we're counting the ones in cars too? If that's the case I have 4 383s, 8 440s and a 340, oh and a 360 in my truck....

I have a lean to that is so full of motors it protected the house and the garage when we got the three hurricanes back to back here in Fl. The stuff against the walls just was too heavy for the storms to move. I'll see if I can get pics and count them.

I'm down to 21, not in cars, and need to get rid of half of these. Add 8 if what is in cars counts. I have 1) 350, 7) 383, 1) 302, 8) 440, 3) 318, 1) 400.
