The last real Hudson, anyway. The final 1954 Hudson, and the last of the famous "Stepdown" Hudsons, rolled off the line on October 29, 1954. Of course, if you ever watched the movie "Cars", the character of "Doc" Hudson was a '52 Hudson Hornet coupe
The Hornet and Wasp both existed in the '55 - '57 model years, but as a combined company with Nash that created American Motors on May 1, 1954. The style of the later cars was definitely more Nash than Hudson.
I like Hudsons, and have owned ten Hudsons and two Metropolitans over the past 15 years. Wonderful-driving cars, by any standard. I need to find another.
