1998 Chrysler New Yorker Saint Regis Coupe! Retired Chrysler tech ownership and only 36K miles This is as GOOD AS IT GETS! This Coupe is absloute pristine. Inside and out. When I say that it needs nothing, That is what i mean! Every option from the intermittent wipers to the 8 track player to the cruise controll works. The Leather is supple and soft and the inside and out is GORGEOUS! Greay Pillowy soft button tufted leather! 400 smooth running cubic inches of engine. Only year of this body with intermittent wipers. Correct road wheels AND steelies with the drop dead sexy wheel covers in the trunk. Ice cold AC with all new factory chrysler components. New belts and hoses. Great tires and brakes, Extra Lean burn carb and controller in the trunk. Lots of extra Misc parts in the trunk. Glove box located trunk pop, Power windows locks cruise tilt AND Telescoping steering wheel. Opera lighting and all the dash and floor lighting that make this car special! This car cranks on a dime and runs down the road perfectly! with a newer high capacity battery as well. She has been my Daily driver since I aquired her, and really deserves to be pampered and sheltered. At some time in the past a high quality repaint was performed (silver, doesnt age well without lots of wax and care) and she stands up to the scrutiny. Zero corrosion and very good but not perfect chrome. I dont think that you can find a nicer more road worthy car for the money. Must be a Land Yacht Lover!

That was after it rolled end over end six times...

Stop it. lol
He wasn't bs'ing when he said that silver literally faded to a dirty satin finish.
My car was garaged since 1975 and it needed a paint job when I got. But it was 100% original and unscathed. I was given the perfect canvas.

Lol

It's a CL ad and that is usually the flipper Paul Harvey rest of the story but you are right about those water color paints they used then. Some colors went suede randomly but that silver was pretty much guaranteed.

WOW.... Just wow! It is a little pricey but sometimes it's worth stepping up to the plate and swinging at the right pitch. This looks like one of those times.
Besides, the price is probably pretty negotiable. Not a lot of folks lining up for high dollar formals.

Chicago's own.

That price isn't as outrageous as you might think. Look what fast Eddie has into his wagon. (Thanks for putting that out there Eddie, very enlightening)
Let's say you found this car before the repaint and paid $3k for it, tack on another $4-5 for a paint job then $1k for tires and road wheels. Another $1k for say brakes, rotors, battery a/c charge, alternator, whatever... and your right there $9-10k.
Without taking 3-4 years to do it.
I would think this flipper would take $10 for it. After all he just got it at the estate sale for $2500. Lol

I'd wave 76 $100 bills in his face and walk away.
He'll be calling in 5-6 weeks.
You'd be foolish to not grab it then
Seller on his knees? Priceless.

OK this one does have ATC II and has a few more miles but it's been for sale for a couple of years for much less money. I've owned a couple of formals and I do love the way they drive but I'm sorry the prices are just not up in this range no matter what. Even Stan's buddy Lash has had a couple of them for sale over a year with no sale. This one I think pops more color wise too. I think this one is a much better deal.

My feeling about ATC II in Formals is this.
If the ATC II is fully functioning, buy it and put a few spare parts on the shelf as an insurance policy.
If it isn't working, walk away and look a little longer.
My position is that it's nice to have it working in cold climes also because that DEHUMIDIFY function for the windows can be priceless many days out of the year. That's a yuuge safety and convenience factor even in Canada.

ATC in earlier cars scares me more.

I should ad though brown isn't my favorite exterior color either although the brown leather interior has a very nice rich look to me.

Ok I texted the guy with the brown one and no big surprise the ATC II doesn't work.
