It got to the right place, it looks like it was carved out from wisconsin_cheese02.jpgWisconsin cheese. LOL

I believe he meant "whatever the f##k the volares and Aspens were"...

Exactly! Aspen/Volare were "F" body cars. Which spawned "M" body cars (LeBaron, Diplomat, Caravelle, Fifth Avenue, Gran Fury), "J" body cars (Cordoba, Mirada) and '81-'83 "Y" body cars (Imperial).

All bent torsion bars, all the same platform. "J" and "Y" got a different `top hat', but they're all essentially the same car.

The Imps have bent torsion bars. Hmmm.
And that's my edumacation lesson for today. Thanks, Kev.

O.K. Kevin has a lot of reference material to base his facts on.......... he's smart for having all that

More like I was lucky enough to live in the right part of North America and got the opportunity to know a lot of people who were kind enough to feed my insatiable appetite for Chrysler product information and appreciated by efforts to preserve history.

Kevin has more literature and facts then the Chrysler museum had when they shut their doors

The Chrysler MUSEUM has way more cars than I do. Chrysler HISTORICAL has WAY more info on Chrysler than I do.

They either (a) don't have any Canadian info, or (b) haven't gotten around to processing what they've been sent.

Thermo guards were, as Commando said offered on Formals in the C body family. All R bodies got them because Mopar changed the design and molded the washer bottle into them.
I'm always amazed by your knowledge. I just don't know how anybody could know so many fine details.
