[h=2]Parts interchangeable from 67 to 68[/h]
I am looking to get a low mileage 67 Chrysler 300 for the 440, since I found a crack in my block. What I need to know is will any other parts fit from that C body car on my B body 68 GTX? Like brakes, steering box, master cylinder and booster, stuff like that. Thanks.

gives us a link so we can reply, too.
Maybe a little bit more unfriendly, too:poke:

One time at Moparfest some guy walked past my Imperial and all the could say was "I want that 440 and 727 for my Cuda and derby the rest". I was livid.

I personally blame the Ehrenbergs (and his ilk) of the muscle car rags for writing many articles encouraging this practice. Only after the prices made the "cool" cars too expensive for their audience did they pen articles less negative about the C body. Those guys are worshipped by the sheep of the car hobby and I wouldn't give a wooden nickel for their opinion.

Anyone who talks like that in NOT a Mopar guy. Heck, in my opinion, they're not even car guys.

Seriously- here's my car at a show and all he could think was rip out it's heart and derby the rest.

Wouldn't accept my username and PW over there and I'm not about to register. Good thing maybe since I might write something to get me banned.

I am sick of the engine donor mentality too. :(

I went over and looked too but, I'm not registered there either. I don't have any reason to be. He said something about nobody wanting a four door "boat". Damn, I hate it when somebody refers to my car as a boat!

Yeah, it's amazing, the stupid audacity of some people to say something like that, especially at a car show. As a car guy myself, I hate to see any old classic car destroyed. I had a Pontiac guy start up a conversation with me in a parking lot of a fast food joint quite a few years ago. He actually liked my car. He had a nice '67 Bonneville. We talked cars, paint jobs and other local stuff. Anyway, to me that's a car guy. Somebody who insults another owner's car is not a car guy in my book.

"Somebody who insults another owner's car is not a car guy in my book."

What about vettes? I think we are all guilty of it in one form or another.

There's a fine line between disrespect and good natured ribbing. Calling my car a boat or land yacht isn't a problem for me as long as it isn't meant as a put down. Most people either don't hesitate to provide compliments or if they don't care for them keep their comments out of ear shot. My worst experiences have been with a minority of other Mopar owners with more muscle between their ears than under their hood.

I only have negative comments for completely cobbled up junk, no matter what marque.
I can even appreciate resto workmanship or state of exceptional unrestored condition of a Goggomobil.

I've done my part.

I am not registered over there, but maybe someone could tell him he would be better off finding an old RV. seems like there has been a few 440's for sale here pretty reasonable.
