Great shots. I'll probably page back to these in December or January when it's 26 degrees outside, lol. We were at "The Boat House" for dinner also on the island a few weeks back ..................Right on the bay, one of my favorite places. A bit pricey but you pay for this in the evening

That's a great shot Will. you have an in your face Christmas card, was that in the winter months?
Where was that taken?
Will........
You and Ellie sure do know how to enjoy life!!!
Turkey Run, Blue Ridge Parkway, Skyline Drive, beaches everywhere, Motor City, Carlisle.........and from endeavor to endeavor to endeavor!
So much to do and see......... So little time.....
How long do you think it'll take to drive the entire Blue Ridge Parkway?QUOTE]
The parkway, and sky line drive combined is 745 miles (+/-).
We got on at Cherokee NC in the Smokey Mountain National Park, where it ends...at around 12:00 noon. We crossed over into Virginia and stopped in a little motel at around 6:00 pm. Found a great Italian restaurant nearby. Back on the Parkway early the next morning, (One of the nicest time of day to be up there), and drove to Waynesboro Va where we stayed for the 2nd night. The last 110 miles was on Skyline drive in Shenadoah National park and down to Front Royal Va.
Top speed limit the entire route is 45.... but usually a little slower with all the up-down and around the road goes.
Give yourself 2 1/2 days to really enjoy the trip. There are lots of pull offs and places to stop and have a picnic.
It does require a lot of patience..... The journey is the destination.
OH..... Make sure your brakes are in good working order. Jezabelles drums got a rear workout.
they sure do............Carlisle in a tent yet, for several days
The tent didn't make the trip home........! Next year.... A pop up camper.

I might go this fall when the leaves are changing. I've driven the entire Skyline Drive a half dozen times an enjoyed every run. I'm looking forward to drive south on Skyline and picking up the Blue Ridge Parkway and enjoying that journey too.
