Like the Airflows, another Mopar ahead of their time. Nobody liked them because they were too strange looking and the dealers couldn't give them away.

As a youngin, very cool. Now, for that price, I'd have ordered a fully loaded Sport Fury GT 440-6 or a 300 vert.

Understand what Stan?

That These Supercars were so undesirable back in the day they often sold way below sticker Price.
Frankly I'd prefer any naked 383 Road Runner/Super Bee over the Aero-warriors now and then.

Everyone know's or anyone who is new who has searched at all all on Superbirds know's that they were a hard sell and many were around lots for a long time and frequently had noses and wings removed and sold as regular Road Runners.

What's the point .. this stuff has even been posted on this site before .. matter of fact it was probably Stan who posted it emoticonbigsmile.gif

I was pursuing a Superbird in the months leading up to my enlistment! I loved RR's and the Bee's. I thought the Aero Warriors were the best thing ever.

I'll always prefer the Daytona over the Superbird.

In February 86 I worked at an Arco station. I put 10 dollars of premium in a Superbird, 11000 original miles originally Alpine white but was re sprayed black.... Hemi four speed. Owner opened the hood and I caressed the valve cover....

He was going to be in a wedding along with his buddies Daytona..... even then there were those of us who knew some things were special
