As my 70 vert is getting closer to driving I was wondering what mufflers are you guys running. I don't really want to use flowmasters or magnaflows as this car is for cruising not racing like my Charger or Coronet. Let me know thanks. car photos 085.jpg

Go to the Flowmaster site.
They have an exhaust tone for every taste.
They give you graphs and stuff. Easy to pick out what you like.
Then that's what you install.
Fail safe.

I was going to say Walker also. Go with a standard muffler/mufflers to keep it quiet.

I would have never taken you for a chambered exhaust guy. How big? And do you have a way to measure db output?

I went with dual Summit SUM-638230's. I haven't finished the exhaust yet and I dump right before the axle for now. It measures 82db inside the car inside a one-car garage. Things have rattled off the shelf on start up before. Go outside and the noise drops a bit. I expect when it's finished inside the car wont be so bad.

Sorry, Frog Rustang in the vid, but I swear by the Dynomax VT for stealth builds. http://youtu.be/nhIyDpzm360Use a H pipe, don't get sucked into big diameter piping, and tail pipes with a 45 degree cut as far back as possible. Keep your C body what it's meant to be, a quiet comfortable cruiser. Just my $.02

He said:
1. You figured him wrong.
2. 2-1/4, no cross over, turned down tips. All properly hung.
3. No, but he says it's loud enough for him.
