(the correct mopar 15X7 trim rings do not have the same shape as the original trim rings on the 15X6 rims on the fuselage cars)
15 x 7 s were from 78 to 81As I recall, the 15x7 version of the W23 Class II 16 Slot Road Wheels were only on the later 1970s (Aspen/Volare platform) Chrysler LeBaron and similar Dodges. There should be some sales brochure images online, somewhere, I suspect. These wheels typically had a body color center insert, rather than the painted silver area the 15x6 wheels had.

Correct as my pic shows, deeper and no brushed look....so the trim rings were not only deeper, the appearence was also different compared to a 1970 road wheel?
Are you thinking that the 15x7 truck ring fits the 15x7 Road Wheel?These are some 15x7 truck wheels, they have a little deeper trim ring. Trim ring just sitting there, not snapped on.

Left is the truck ring, right is from the std 15x6 road wheel.
1/2" difference in height, inner (bottom) dimension is just a bit smaller but didn't measure the diff.
