Yeah no fb here either. I like being a o/o no working for the man so to speak I run local for the most part and make a living at it. I did what Ross said I had to change to survive was losing ground as a door swinger so when crankshaft in my truck broke while economy was in toilet took a job as co. driver and gained steel experience, now I would really hate to have to pull a van again.

Me too...I refuse to join FB as well....and any other mainstream social media type site.
As for trucking...I've been driving about 15 years now, and I've seen a huge change in my time as well. I just had to spend an extra day out of town. Just got home tonight. Rad hose exploded and it took 10 hours for them to find a replacement hose, and get me on my way. This because I was up in the interior of BC. And the fact that the Company wants to run Volvo trucks with Volvo motors...guess what, only 3 places in all of BC that can service these trucks and motors!! Thank God I'm a company driver paid by the hour!!

Ever watch Warehouse Security have to escort a driver off the property when he's paid by the mile after the Reciever tells him they can't unload him until tomorrow? It ain't pretty.

When i was pulling piggy back/containers off the rail. that stupid co. with orange equip paid one of us 3 seperate drayages (about 250+ whatever fuel surcharge was) over a weeks time because they felt the lumper fee was to high I think the lumper fee was about 300 plus probably a hour detention. Now you know their drivers would have done all that for free. BTW about 40 mi round trip and no need to get upset as your pocket fills up.

Would you expect less from that Socialist/Marxist hell??? I lived in the Sea-Tac area years ago, when the Commie rush from the South (Cali!) began. I've never looked back at Seattle.
