Juat wanted to make sure. The “open” part of the “V” goes outward towards the car body, correct?

Also, just making sure it lays down on top of the raised channel portion (see pic 2).

Third, it goes down in front of the tall section that is above the bumper, or does it stop/start on the sides? (Pic 3)

Lastly, where on the channel do the ends meet (in the middle close to the rear window; in the middle closest to the bumper; on the side, etc)?

Thanks

1 yes
2 yes
3 yes, the notch area on mine had a lead tape type of material on it
4 meets the the lock area

When you get it installed into the channel, as noted, start at the centerline of the deck lid striker, then make the final length cut just a bit longer than needed, like 1/16th inch, so the resulting "butt joint" will not have any gaps when assembled. IF you do it right, the cut will be almost invisible, with a dab of black silicone where the two ends meet.

Got it. Just installed. Worked it well. Taped it down in place and then shut the trunk lid. Fits well and trunk shuts well.

Thanks guys.

Get a water hose and test to make sure nothing leaks in the trunk.

Or do the "chalk dust test" or "paper pull test".
