I used to have a 89 turbo mini van. I put in a bigger turbo and got a big Volvo intercooler at the junkyard that I mounted up front and pumped up the boost.
That was my daily driver for a time.
I expect you to do an inspection on My Plum Crazy GT Scamp some time next weekend, AND hoist ah Long Neck with me, Jer

The 4 speed auto was great, until it wasn't :(
Quick fun car otherwise.

I am looking forward to hear how you like it and of course LOTS OF PICS!!!!!!!
A Scamp is lighter than a Omni I think and there were a few that laid down some great 1/4 mile times in the Scamp or Rampage. Dean Stillie from Canada comes to mind.

Yes, Dean and I had a good long chat about his '83 'Page when we hooked up at SDAC 22 in Detroit 7-8 years back. I think I heard his Daughter iz driving that 'Page now in a some what more subdued form, lol. I believe he also haz his 2.4L Shadow somewhere in the '9s. He's on Facebook now and I'm still on Turbo Mopar but not FB soooo???? Only issuez with the little Trucklet rite Now are NO A/C , and boost is limited to 9-10 lbs. FOR NOW! It'll be ah 2X80 Bonsai run back to Wilmington on Sunday. I'll explain why when we hook up... Got an extra set of A/C linez specifically from an '86 OR '87 GLHS in your stash?? BRING 'UM WITH YEAH, Jer

I have seen all the 16 valve and they do make more power as they flow better. I only know the 8 valves. People have put 16 valve heads on 8 valve blocks too in the past. The 9 second omni I posted was an 8 valve. He had to run 38 psi of boost!!
AZ MENTIONED BEFORE. The Owner-Driver of that 9 second black '86 GLHS iz James Reeves and last time we hooked up at Norwalk ah couple yearz ago that little beast sounded even more bad then what the #'s are!

Even at 8 -9 psi that thing will surprise you. We all expect a full report BigBarney! I would be most interested in hearing what Mr Reeves did to your car.
Watch the torque steer!
PS ,,forget the AC ,even if you had it on full blast you will still be sweating driving that thing! :steering::eek:

I think one of us iz on the wrong page my friend. James iz a friend and has spent time at my ponderosa in Michigan where we swapped liez and swatted flyz, tipped ah few long necks and traded some L-Body partz more then once, but James never worked on my Scamp. I did the build and made all the changes in and out, but when we moved down to Wilmington, N.C. in the fall of '14 It took place so quick that I only had time to hook up the engine and trans under the hood and dumped everything else in the cab and bed and hauled it down there only to find I had no place to work on it for the "put-together". Then I hooked up with Brian Slowe at Carlisle in '15 and we struck a deal to have him reassemble the trucklet in his shop in Philadelphia between hiz livelihood bread 'n butter work, so I shipped it up to him that fall and here we are about on the Maiden voyage to Carlisle from Philadelphia come this Thursday and then the 550 back to Wilmington on Sunday, OH HAPPY DAYZ... The bed side inner panels are still maroon and the bed deck lookz diseased but that will change the 1st week or so back in Wilmington, trust me, Jer

Ahh, she rolled hers almost 20 years ago. But she'd liked it and I thought she'd learned a bit so I found her one just like it but auto - she totalled that 'un a year later so no more Shelby Z's for her. Then she got married and their first purchase was a Stealth R/T..... but she hasn't wrecked any more cars.

Had a great day today in the beautiful Berkshire mountains [or big hills] today. I pulled the "Big Boned Gal " out for a bath and took my time and really enjoyed cleaning her up. It was so nice outside today. I checked her over and took her for a spin. Lots of stares as usual and a few thumbs up as usual. I drove her around abit and really relaxed. She my FuryIII said to me "Love spending time with you" "so nice to just cruise around with with you" " You are so good to me,,I love it" No hurry here and I loved it. Got home and pulled out the Omni Glhs and did the same. I washed her good and checked fluids etc and had a great time. Took her out and compared to the Fury the Omni was saying "Floor the god damn thing!" "Go faster!" "Hit that corner harder!" " Please MAX BOOST!"
"SPank Me!!" wow,,,,,:wideyed:
I was exhausted after that date.:) But overall I prefer my 69 Fury III.

The End
