On my '66 Sport Fury, the turn signal light that is on top of the fender (passenger side #330 miniture) has gone out.
Has anyone found a reasonable source? I'm cheap and do not want to pay $10+ for a $2.00 bulb!

thanks
John

The problem is that even when new, those bulbs were pretty unique. Might now find a small LED to go in its place?

Bulbs have gotten expensive. I just paid $9 for two license plate bulbs for my Ford Edge. All the others on the rack were about the same price.

WalMart put all of their automotive bulbs into a locked, glass display case! Abt $10.00 USD for pair of normal 1157s or similar. About a toss-up, buy them locally or from RockAuto and pay the freight.

Like the guys said, bulbs are expensive and that one is a special one. Possibly the only application is fender top indicators. You may be in the wrong hobby if a $10 bulb is too much. You have a choice to leave it not working. Start a wanted thread for a used light but make sure it is tested before you buy. That may cost you $20 -30 + shipping. There is no cheap way out here.

Actually, those bulbs have other non-automotive uses. Some low voltage industrial stuff (which I knew) and even some aircraft use (which I didn't know). They are a 14 volt bulb, which means it wasn't designed specifically for automotive use.

I can buy a box of 10 at NAPA for ~$30... But it's a box of 10... Amazon sells them for $2 with $4.50 shipping. Amazon.com: Miniature Lamp, 330, 1.0W, T1 3/4, 14V : Industrial & Scientific

Cheap, but it still has to be shipped for $5.

I understand that $10 won't even buy you much these days. But sometime we just say "screw that, I'm not paying that much" just on principal. And yes, sometimes it would have been cheaper to just buy that $10 bulb, but sometimes the fun is finding the bargain.

This looks like a good fit: https://www.aero-lites.com/product-page/al-330mf-series

I recall I had to shop a little to find such for our '66 Newport, but I managed it after a year or 2. I lit that old acrylic up with an amber LED strip under it until I found a proper bayonet base bulb to fit the little socket. Have you tried Superbrite LEDs? Type 330 bulbs are out there, but some other miniature bases may be in stock. I MISS those fender turn signals!

Your 68 doesn't have the fender mount indicators?
