I know this forum is for mopar related issues, but since I have read of people putting LED lights for tailights ect I have an issue on my 98 chevy 3500,,this is my work truck that has a utility bed/box that the previous owner installed LEDs in place of the regular rear lights brake/backup,,,
Well my problem is the turn signals flash at twice the speed like I had a bulb out,,like newer cars when a bulb is out it flashes twice as fast as normal,,so has anyone else had this issue,,is there a way to slow it down by changing the flasher unit if it even has one,,the previous owner said it happened after installing the LEDs.

The flashers on most vehicles is load driven, the contacts heatup they open, cool they close repeat.

The LED units do not have the same load so they cycle faster, put bulbs back in problem solved.

I agree the LEDs are brighter and the LED backup lights are great, they light up everything,,and bulldog I was wondering if there was a flasher unit in my 98 like our older cars that could be changed to a slower unit,,,
