yours has the cornering light... a must have ! Very nice.

While in Auburn at the Kruse auction in the summer of 1998 there was a Chrysler Hurst edition. Selling outright for $7,500. on the outside lot. The car was gorgeous and I wanted it but I was a few years away from being able to have such a thing.

Im glad I didnt buy that car

Two beautiful examples of a car I'd love to own. Unfortunately, that's way too many even if I had Jay Leno's setup and money.

My brother in laws is laser straight. That's a long car to block out lol. His is a plain jane with dealer installed air. Mine has air and cornering lamps that's it.

If you "get into" these cars then you start to look for what the "little" differences are in the cars and how they were optioned.

For example, manual windows, console, rim blow, tilt tele, 5 speaker, 8 track, sure grip, sunroof and the convertible. Not to mention the complete Hurst dealer paper work package, which I have only seen one complete package, etc,.

I knew of one that was a "stripper" non A/C car, non tined glass,..with ZERO options = a "stripper" Hurst. On the flip side, I know of one with EVERY option, except the tow package,...a FULLY loaded Hurst,...very cool. Most Hursts DID NOT come FULLY optioned.

Those are 2 fine examples!

The 250 Count had every car in physical existence registered if this is the Count according to the 300 Club Intl. list, I'd guess the number of junked out cars and donor cars may be about the same number as additional running cars that came back into traffic in the meantime.

I like the low optioned models better, don't like the look of the cornering lights and the rim blow steering wheel for example. The console shift is the most desirable Option to me and I like sunroofs in General, doesn't rob HP as an AC and completely sufficient in my neck of the Woods.

I prefer the rimblow wheel and cornering lights.
The rimblows wheel outsell is thicker than the three spoke

I don't care if there is still 485 on the road, I like them. Yeah they look the same, might take away from the wow factor, I guess they are rare=ok as tb3fan said. There is one in my town that just got on the road last week. Stopped and bugged the owner. He's had it 10 years and just got th mechanicals up to par so he could drive it. Need paint and interior but it's a solid car. He likes it and is glad he can finally drive it. I wonder if they were Hemi cars would everyone care if they looked the same? I don't think so, but who knows.

Since I first saw one I've liked them. Probably because I love C Bodies and they never were real hot rods (Letter series 300s notwithstanding), so this was about as close as they got in the Chrysler line. Plymouth at least got the Sport Fury and the GT.

Which brings a question for me, did Dodge had a "Sport" C Body? Can't think of one, so...?

No Dodge C body in a performance model....

The Polara Brougham offered much of the same as the Sport Fury. At least for 71.

For 70 the Monaco and Polara custom had all the goodies offered.

69 had the Polara 500 which gives you everything then some.

I have a listing of the 250 cars it is not new but I always check it when a hurst is for sale.
I sometimes see a hurst from the listing being a parts car or a donor. So when a " new " hurst show up, another one is dying elsewhere.
