First off, neither is mine, I know both sellers personally and have been asked to put the word out about them.

First is a 1969 Newport Convertible, 383 4 barrel, buckets with buddy bench, power windows etc.

Needs minor bodywork but is rock solid underneath (one of the cleanest I've ever seen), and it needs some interior work.

Asking price is $4k CAD. And it is located in western Ontario.

Next is a 73 Newport sedan. 400-2 barrel. Last plated in 2001, reads 34k miles and is believed to be original mileage. Car runs off a gas can, but would need the tank and lines gone through from sitting. Still has bias ply tires. Has some rust at the fender heels and lower quarters behind the tires.

The seller is asking $2200 CAD for it. Also located in western Ontario

I suspect the blue car is a "300" and not a Newport. A picture of the front end to see if hideaway headlights would make it a 300 or Newport. Or of course the vin number would help. What does the interior look like. Pictures of the motor and trunk area would also be a suggestion. Lastly, compliments to you for helping out a friend.

The tail lights are from a 300 on the vert. No badging on the trunk lid or fenders and has a 383. All of which could
have been removed or changed. Fender tag/vin would be more helpful. The '73 interior looks to be in very good condition, no rips on the seats and the carpet looks good. Hard to see the outside with the snow.

Yea, I'm gonna say that's a '70. Can't just bolt a '70 bumper on a '69. Newport trim though, so it probably is a Newport.

The car looks great though! At $4k Canadian, that's $3017 USD. That's a bargain! If I wanted one, I'd be all over it!

Sorry to hurt the opinions of everyone, but the ragtop is a Newport that as you can see is NOT original, it's been mucked with previously and is priced accordingly. It was a 383 2 barrel car previously 4 barrel swapped and was not running when my friend got it nearly 3 years ago.

I bought my 70 from him. He knows C Bodies, he has one of the nicest ones out there that has received tons of recognition...

He and his wife are only selling the Newport as they have too many Mopar's and are realizing they likely won't get to doing this car justice.

Next time I'm visiting or talking to him I'll either get more photos of it Ir get him to send me some. It's currently in his shop behind 6 other cars... He also has a 53 Fargo Panel that will be coming up for sale...

As for the Sedan, the other friend who has it bought it to keep from going too scrap but he has only space for one hobby car which is his beloved 59 Imperial he has owned since 1975.

I did get a few pictures of it today. It's a good starter hobby car for someone or a good driver requiring minimal investment.

If the 73 doesn't sell by spring I may buy it for myself, Chrysler's just aren't really my thing.

Nick.

As mentioned, it has the rust bubbling over the left wheel well and lower quarters, front seat covers are rough, but it comes with NOS trim for the left lower quarter and is very solid overall..
