Perhaps. I don't think its worth having considering the amount of time it is supposed to save by making the choke opening a "little" faster. Its one small piece when alone, but when put together with everything else they devised to cut down on "air pollution", it is only something else to malfunction years down the road. Not worth the hassle.

Actually, now I'm going to put it back in now knowing fully how it works and what it's supposed to do.
It's not a polution device. It enhances drivability. I'm for that.

And yes, I put it back on today and the drivabilty was indeed enhanced by a modicum of improved smoothness as the engine was achieving its quest to arrive at normal operating temperature.
