Congrats on the new baby!

I was a tad pissed off that you closed the thread by labeling it as sold.

Why did Henry eventually sell the car?

Selling the Fury? You mean the wagon of course!

Sorry, didn't realize the thread would be closed. I just made it unsold and open.

Dave, No, not selling the wagon yet but if you are up this way, you should take a look at it but I don't think that she may have to many "imperfections" for you.

One of the reasons Henry told me that he sold it was because the car scared the crap out of him. Probably had something to due with the car breaking the tires loose at ANY speed and going sideways at 50 MPH when he got on it. He is currently building something more wild and a lot faster. Go figure.

So you know i didnt mean anything by the pissed off comment . I just knew there were a ton of questions and comments to follow . Good for you man, as stated the car is an icon especially to old time dockers...

I honestly don't know where you get your energy

I don't have much energy anymore which is why some my project cars are going to go up for sale.

Good for you Bill!

It's always great when someone is able to obtain one of their dream cars.

Could you give us a hint of what you may be selling? I have a friend who's in the market for a C-Body, and was wondering if you might have something on his list.

Thanks, Jeff

Jeff,

I have a '71 Fury III coupe (23 body style - "outie" rear window) that is Gold with a green interior. Pretty much a no option car. Rebuilt 318, A/T, PS, Manual drum brakes, non vinyl top car. The seats and headliner need to be replace as does the dash pad. Originally a Colorado car that I bought 15 or more years ago and never put on the road. The seller drove the car from Colorado to Connecticut. Clean underneath, typical rust around the rear window and some easy to fix rot in the quarters. A few minor dents and some of the body side trim is off and at least one piece is missing. I have a set of aluminum 15 x 7 wheels & some beefy tires for the car. I have a second car I will be selling, a '68 VIP 2 door that I will post more on later today.

Jeff, also planning on selling a '68 Plymouth Fury VIP. Red, black vinyl top, white vinyl interior, A/C, PW, power drum brakes, factory 15" wheels with disc brake style wheel covers. 318, 50,000 miles, hasn't been started in about 8 years, stored inside. Florida car. The only rust is below both C pillars - about a 2" area that has rusted through. Also a dent in the left rear quarter behind the quarter panel extension that is an easy fix. I don't have any photos.

Thanks Bill! I'll run those by him, but I think he's looking for a big block car. The VIP sounds like it would be quite nice when done. Don't see too many of those with power windows.

Jeff
