Damn...I got scammed like that once. In an extraordinary stroke of luck, Paypal somehow decided to give my money back, despite there being no buyer protection. Since then I've never pushed it and always insist on the business transaction option (or whatever it's called) so my butt is covered.

Just heard back from him- he was in a car wreck and having a bad week- I have to eat crow- I judged him too quickly and am sorry for that.I felt he was a honest guy and should of given him the benefit of doubt.

My bad - I had notified @66l78rat that I hadn’t heard from him in 3 days. It appears that I jumped the gun and notified him that he appeared to be untrustworthy.
He’s apologized and wants to make this right.

I’m hoping he delivers. I always need to understand that everyone has their own battles…

No communication makes anyone believe that there is a serious problem…..3 days of no response is way too much …

In this case , “ if “ there was truly a car accident, he gets a pass ….. as long as he delivers the goods….

Before I do, can anyone who's purchased the ventshades update this thread as to the delivery or progress of their order?

So - I reached out to the seller, heard back immediately, made a deal, and paid via PayPal.

Because I did NOT use Family and Friends he got dinged with fees, so I even sent those along as a good will gesture.

That was 2 weeks ago. No communications since, and no answers to my texts or messages. Not a peep.

I hope that he is OK, but at the same time, I hope he is able to complete our transactions.

I'm covered if I have to open a dispute through PayPal because I didn't use Family and Friends, but sheesh, I don't want to go down that road...

Can anyone else update their order status?

I have received a valid tracking number from the seller and it’s supposed to arrive on Wednesday.

I will update this thread upon receipt or later this coming week, if it doesn’t arrive.
