Ohhhhhh...... All the ones I tossed into the Charles River.... :(

You must have been a precocious lad LOL

This can is called a cone top due to the spout on top of the can. Pictured to the left are 3 types – high profile, low profile, and J-spout, respectively. These cans were sealed off with a bottle cap. Cone tops were produced from 1935 until 1960. They are highly sought after due to their age and unique shape.

Here are the examples

High .......................Low..........................J

Cone top. I still love old beer cans and find myself wanting one of those still to this day.

It was my first passion .. collecting Beer Cans that is.

I guess because we are the same age is why we are similar despite our distance in miles. I still have me beer can collection from when I was around 12-13 years old. Over 700 cans they are slowly deteriorating in my attic. I have absolutely no use for them but it was the thing every kid was doing in the late 70s

I still have most of mine too but nothing too special. My brother reportedly sold many of the neat ones :( . I was in a very small town and mostly they drank boring cheap beer. I used to ride my bike out into the country and look for them.

I joined the BCCA and bought the book. I"m pretty sure I still have that too.

There only a handful of us to trade among unfortunately but I used to dream about finding certain ones because I really liked the artwork of the advertising.
