I can't find the thread where we post pics of our travels so I am starting anew.

I love trailer parks frozen in time since the fiftties or sixties. These parks that are lost in time are remarkable communities of dirt-poor but honest, down to earth, nice people with a cast of characters you could write a book about.

Pamela and I are touring the Sarasota historic area to get away for for a few days. Across the street from where we are staying I found this little terrific community .

Pamela had a fascination with Tiny House living. Literally a cottage on a trailer. Google this stuff. Where we are staying:

A tad weird but we like it.

Being a enthusiast and owner of a vintage travel trailer I always have an eye out for them. These "lost in time" oases are still out there. One needs to get off the interstate to find them though.

Shots from some "Tin Can Tourist" ralley's.
If you want to really have some fun, this beats the heck out of sitting at a car show all day.

You get the "big" little house?
Lol. Yes.
Funny story; We reserved one that was smaller. When we arrived, it was not there. WTF? The people in the Tiny House next to the now empty space told us the Tiny House left for Colorodo that morning. Double WTF!
The Manager knew nothing but cheerfully offered us the "big" Little House. Lol.

Sorry Jer, that the only shot I got of it. Here are a few other notable units. There were over 130 rigs at the one show alone.

A cool thing about the vintage trailer rallies is that the women really get involved. Several showed up solo with nice old campers. (I had to back a couple of them into their spot, but I think they expect that).
Ellie was in charge of all the décor. There is always a couple of hours one day during the meet when everyone who wanted to held an open house. Trailer is all decked out inside and folks can come in and look around. Most everyone does this. great fun.

Did you happen to see a guy smoking a joint and drinking a rum n coke with a guy living in a formal NYer next to a trailer with a guy wearing thick glasses?

This is what the trailer park seen in my “garages” looks like now. Place was a Bradenton Paradise in the 60s when the Grandparents lived there.

I love this stuff... Thanks Stan and Will for the pics and stories.
