There is a bronze one for sale in Hemmings, pricey but looks nice. Google: '70 sport fury gt for sale and the add comes up.

I have a 70 Sport Fury S/23, Numbers matching 383, A/C, light package, buckets, console, triple green, black reflective side stripe car that I’ll be letting go soon. I’m using the front fenders, grill. But I have Fury III fenders and grill for it. The original hood will go with the S/23.

It’s an original California car. Has some rust, but nothing like East Coast rust that you are familiar with.

PM or message if interested.

I looked at that one and noticed some differences on mine. Were there different trim levels for the GT? My '70 has pleated seats and had a Sport Fury emblem on the trunk lid.

All of the buckets I have seen were pleated and most also had the sport fury script on the trunk lid. My recollection is that the buckets were an optional choice. The script is pretty much unobtanium, so if the existing script was pitted, it was generally tossed in a parts box after a repaint. I kinda doubt that the script will probably be reproduced. The SFGT was available with both buckets and a conventional bench front seat. The conventional front seat was the same seat found in other Sport Furys. The one exception am aware of was the SFGT in FP6 Teal Blue, that one was only available with a bench seat. That color is supposed to be the rarest of all SFGT colors.

No. All GT's were the same trim. Of course with the side stripe delete option being an acceptation. The trunk lid Sport Fury emblem and pleated seat pattern are both correct for the model

shouldn't that key lock hole be on right side of rear deck lid?

If by trim you mean the stripe kit, you are correct. There were other trim related options such as vinyl tops and bumper guards that were additional options as were the seats and console. The main determining characteristic of the '70 SFGT will be the A52 option code on the build tag and the build sheet. With the advent of readily available strip kits, there are now some "clones" showing up for sale which has caused some confusion.

It is. Here is a picture with the proper perspective.

One of 3 reasons I bought this car. The other 2 being it has the passenger side mirror and it's a PH29.

The car is long gone, but dad's S23,was white, bronze interior, bench seat, and S23 side stripes. I still have the dash, cracked, but all instruments. The center "Plymouth" piece on rear. Hubcaps and several other pieces.

Dave,

Yes I did mean the stripe kit. I knew that vinyl tops and seats with console were options. Was not aware of the bumper guards. Thank you for that info. As you said, code A52 on the fender tag determines if one is real. Like the S/23 being code A51.

That used to be Jeff's, @Multifury's car. Been sold and off to Brazil. It has the wrong seat pattern, and the engine bay is purple by the way.

Yeah, I saw the wrong pattern, it is probably the wrong material too. Who could forget the purple engine bay. Think it was on this site for sale about a year and a half ago? I think the story was that some previous owner had intended to do a color change and the bay was as far as ir went.
