Hello, I'm looking for information on how the optional hood and front fender extension trim is/was attached. My car (the B3 convertible) did not originally come with this option but I want to add. (Note: I have the trim, but am missing the hardware for the hood trim).

I've seen diagrams for locating/installing stripe kits and other options on Chrysler cars, I am hoping someone had something like that for this later model year 69 option.

Otherwise, if anyone has this trim package on their car I would appreciate some pictures of the installed hood piece and hardware used. The fender extensions have spring clips, seems I only need to drill holes and another member said those may be marked in the pot metal casting (I haven't take my car apart yet). In addition to missing the hardware for the hood piece (may be screws like WOM?) I also need to locate where holes need to be drilled in both the hood and fender extensions. It should be as simple as lining it up and drilling holes but the NOS hood piece is not bent to fit the hood and (I'm guessing) not all the holes punched in that thing were used. I would rather bend that piece to fit once/properly.

Thanks!

My first reaction is to look in the body trim section of the Chrysler Parts Manual, in the "Illustrations" section. Each model is detailed in that section. Then go to the parts listings for that area as to the other items.

Another option might be Rick Ehrenberg, as he used to publish tape stripe schematics in his column in "Mopar Action" (when he worked for them).

BE SURE to put some anti-rust or rust-converter paint on the sheet metal where you drill holes in it! No need in giving rust a new place to live, behind the moldings, where moisture can collect!

Just some thoughts,
