For a Fusey or a Formal? A Chrysler, Dodge, Plymouth, Imperial?

It matters because, especially for the Fusey's, the bases are different.

Hello Steven, a 1972 or 1973 Chrysler or Imperial mirror -- which are to be found more often than a passenger side mirror on a Dodge or Plymouth -- should fit on a 1971 Plymouth Fury and look correct.

Yes, you are correct. Murray Park could not help me. I am still looking. Most right hand mirrors are remote control, but I am looking for a manual mirror if one can be found. Hoping someone has one.

To the best of my knowledge, there were no remote-controlled passenger side rearview mirrors yet in the 1971 to 1973 model years.

My go-to place would be either Hidden Valley Auto Parts

or you might want to check out Desert Valley Auto Parts' Black Canyon location

No, that will not work. While the mirror head is different, the base is specific to a 1971 Fury. Even the 1971 Chrysler and Dodges use a different base as the contour of the doors are differnt.

In each year 1969 to 1973, mirrors for Dodge full size cars had the same part number as those for Chryser and Imperial while Plymouth Fury mirrors had their unique part number. Per the part numbers for the mirrors, the mirrors were the same 1969 and 1970 (those were round), 1971 was unique whereas 1972 and 1973 mirros were the same again.

A 1971 Dodge/Chrysler/Imperial mirror will not work on a 1971 Fury because of the angle of the upper door sheetmetal.

That said, I put a passenger side mirror off of a 1972 Imperial on my 1971 Fury and it looks just perfect. The top is horizontal.

I assume the angle of the upper door sheetmetal on 1972/1973 Dodge/Chrysler/Imperial seems to be almost the same than that of a 1971 Fury.
