As I'm writing this, I'm watching Mecum Day 1 at Indie.
It's only several hours into a 2,000 (!) car field and the numbers are like I haven't seen in six years. The crazy, stupid, money days are coming back.

I'm recording it......10 episodes of the Indy Auction equals about 2 hours of cars I want to see.....fast forward through the commercials, corvette's, camaro's and mustang's.

What channel? I searched & don't have it until Saturday?

A beautiful 1947 Plymouth Special Deluxe 2 door Street Rod with a 360/727 sold for $26,000. Very nicely done.

I wish it was possible to record the live stream. It's a totally different experience without the knucklehead commentary and the five minutes of commercials for every three minutes of auction action.

i watched for awhile today around 6 PM CST and there were some really nice cars going for low dollars. Like less than the cost of the paint jobs, wheels, and tires. Some nice late 50's restified trucks, a 68 GTO, some nice but nondescript vettes (whatever) and several camaro's (puke)

I still am happily without the distraction of TV at my house/shop so if there anything I really need to know about fill me in here, would you fellas?

the knucklehead commentary about how awesome 350 chevies are, how easy they are to work on, how cheap, how much power they make, dependable (not really unless it's the 2 bbl in your grandma's 68 Impala and see's no abuse), greatest thing since pockets on a t-shirt, most popular engine of all time because they made 50 billion of them and every aftermarket supplier in the world caters to them and every 40 year old going on 16 year old wants one to put in their camaro vette/malibu(SS Chevelle/Nova/Camaro/etc) blah blah blah and all the bad info on all the cars including small block chevy crap is absolutely the worst part.

If reading that sucked so you just didn't then you didn't miss anything the morons were spewing on the auction coverage today. Be Calm and Move Along.

btw I was agreeing with you Stan if it wasn't clear

There truly is nothing worth watching on tv these days and the news is just depressing most of the time anyway. I have the Internet and a nice Bose Bluetooth speaker for listening to Pandora and Tiger baseball over the radio is fine by me. I do get a little tv when I stay at my girls house but even there we prefer music over the tube.
