I just seen a yellow 1973 Challenger with a 440 6 pack (of course it was never produced) nicely done sell for $35,000. The 440 was bored and stroked to 500 cu in.
Just seen a 1969 Silver/ black vinyl GTX automatic sell for $28,500.
On Saturday, they'll have Lot 161, a 1969 yellow Dodge Coronet 426 Hemi, 4 speed, Dana 60 for sale, and nine cars later, Lot 170, a Vitamin C Superbird, 440 automatic for sale. I have no idea what time it'll cross the blocks on Saturday.
Watched the Saturday night auction where they always roll out the mega-buck cars and I have to say it does not look good for us CL bottom feeders.
The money spent last night, in my opinion, rivals the insanity of 2005-2007.
Expect the delusional idiots coming out of the woodwork now. Grab your parts cars now while you can before they become "one just like it on Mecum"...
