- '72 Polara Base Model
- 360, auto., no A/C
- No auto. temp. control (ATC)
- '72 Parts Catalog P/N 3579 173 (same P/N listed for various models of Dodge, Plymouth, Chrysler)
- Appears to be leaking from one of the heater hose connections; clamps were tight.
- Are these still available new? I suppose I could try J.B. Weld or something.
- Picture attached.
- Any other members dealt with this issue?
- I searched the "For Sale" threads.

Thanks.

Check Rock Auto for an aftermarket unit. One with a fresher seal on the flap door in the valve. NOS might be fine and more money, BUT the seals in it will be as old as the car. You know what rubber does as it ages?

Reality is that many OEMs used such a vac-operated (or even manual cable operated) water valve similar to this one. LOTs of possibilities. Main issue is which way the flap moves when vac is applied to it.

Enjoy!

I have used this gentleman in the past for rebuiding heater control valves.
