We have lost Rip

I met Rip 3-4 years ago with @ayilar as they passed thru Indy, we all had a nice little visit at a Starbucks.
He was drive-sharing with Ayilar, in the blue 'vert that would later become his.
I remember thinking what a pleasant guy he was, but figured I likely wouldn't cross paths with him again as Maryland is pretty far from IN.

I never would've guessed I'd see him just north of Indy at a Chrysler 300 Club meeting in Kokomo in May of 2024.
He visited my house later that afternoon and we talked about his cancer, and his good outlook on it. My wife and I circled hands with him and we all prayed for his continued health, and we were a little misty-eyed by the time he drove back to the club meet.

I'm glad to have had those few brief encounters with him.

I just got the news this morning. I spoke to his wife and she told me how sick he was. I also told her I would help her with information on the car he purchased from me. More information will be coming. Bill

I received it as well this morning - it explains a lot about who he was and his many interests - a good man indeed.......he will be missed.

I'm still processing this in my head. It refuses to accept Rip's passing...
Just devastated.

My condolences to his family and to the friends that were lucky enough to know him. Between him and Locumob our forum is off to a shaky start this year. Let’s hope this trend does not continue.
