Welcome 68chryslernewport to FCBO!

Does anyone know a source for the replacement Chrysler letters on the hood? I recently had the car painted and all of the studs broke off from the original letters.

Hello from Minnesota. Didnyou remove the speed nuts on the back of the letters? Or try to, then have them break off?

Welcome from Rhode Island
Any pictures of the car ??
Thanks guys! When the car went in for paint the guy doing the work broke off the mounting studs when he removed them. I cant seem to find any replacements online anywhere. I've always owned Mopars but this is my first C-body. Seems like parts are a lot tougher to find for these cars. I'll try to post some pictures too.

Welcome from the Keystone State. I don't know if you'll find repop letters. These boats are a bit tougher to find parts for, but they are worth it. You could probably find some decent used ones on ebay.

sorry...i assumed they were the same. I can try to remove some from the cars at the junkyard next time i go... if they are any good. I know they had 2 68s

Welcome from ND.

Good to see more ‘68s coming out of the woodwork.
You will find many idiosyncrasies on C- bodies that you would think should be the same. Assume all trim parts are unique to your specific make and model, until verified by a part number search.
Mechanical parts are more forgiving within Brands and many times across the other C-bodies.

Thanks for the info guys. I would have preferred to get new replacements, but none are available. I was able to find a decent used set at one of the junk yards in my area that still has these older cars. Thanks again!
