Welcome Exner Rules! to FCBO!

Thanks for the welcome! Looks like a really neat site for all things C-Body. This goes out to all you brothers with the "BUG" of driving and enjoying these awesome cars. I had a nasty engine compartment fire in my 1969 Fury III convertible coming home from Carlisle 2 years ago. After "dealing" with the uncooperative Ins. co. and a rip off Mopar only restoration shop, I finally got my baby back home so I can get her up and run"n again. The old adage of, "if you want anything done affordable, you have to do it yourself! " still applies these days! I'm needing all the wireing harnesses in the engine compartment...especially headlight and windshld wiper. Also eng. harness for a big block. any leads are much appreciated! I'm hopeing to make Carlisle in 2017! Thanks a lot!

:welcome:

I think a couple of members hear have done their own wiring harnesses so they may be able to help you source wires and connectors to make you're own if you're so inclined.

Please post pics.

I feel that all to well. I torched the fusible link in my 68 years ago. Living in the city and being on a timeline I took it to a local shop that had a good rep. Once it was "fixed" I picked the car up and prepped to drive 7 hours back to my parents place to store the car for the winter. Long and short, the shop simply bypassed the link and the car caught fire in upstate NY frying the harness.
I got the car towed down to a shop in CT who, over the course of 6 months, installed an undersized harness, gashed my dashboard, broke speedo jewel .. heartbreaking.
Do it yourself, indeed. Good luck in finding parts and I hope to see you at Carlisle!

Thanks for the encouragement! If I can't locate a good used harness that will be my only option...wish our cars were as popular as the B & E bodies! I'd have harnesses out the wazoo then!

thanks for the "welcome" ! I'll try to post some pics but I'm kinda computer illiterate so it may take some time.

I dont let any "mechanics shops" touch any of my cars. If you want it done right by someone who gives a ****, then look in the mirror. Nobody will care about your ride as much as you do, except for fellow mopar fanatics like us of course. This is the place to be for C body advice.

Thanks for the welcome! funny thing...I have owned very similar "rides" as yours! I Had a 68 4dr sedan I bought for $3oo along w a 67 4 dr Imperial. It was a package deal done around 1988.It was wearing its original dark green paint w black cloth interior that was in choice condition. I gave it a tune up then gave it to my Grandfather who drove it till he went home to the Lord. The 1983 V65 Magna I purchased brand new and drove it daily for 5 years. It was painted the dark blue, I liked it better than the only other color offered, purple. Man, that was one wheelie prone bike!! Only problem was I preferred to have both wheels on the ground at all times! Anyways thanks for sharing your rides....great memories! Later on, from a brother from another mother but the same Father!
