Welcome FK3 Sport Fury to FCBO!

Welcome to the site from the Motor City!

Hi,thanks for the greetings...I didn't know this would go live right away but I'm glad to join in the fun here.

I've been a Mopar guy for many years and have owned a number of A,B and E bodies and some vans as well but haven't owned a C-body since the mid 90's when I sold a 73 propane powered Imperial I was driving.Previous to that I'd had (in no particular order) 65 Polara convertible,65 Plymouth 2 dr post,70 New Yorker 4dr,and a 71 Polara ex cop car.

I got interested in the big bruisers again after scoring a 77 Gran Fury ex-RCMP cruiser from the brother of a co-worker a couple months ago.Unfortunately the car was parked outside in the west coast elements for years and is too rusty to resurrect but would be a great donor to build a clone with so I started looking around for a 74-77 Gran Fury that could work for that and that led me here.
I'm also a FABO and FBBO member so this was a good place to start searching and while looking I spotted the FK3 70 SF that was on CL Boise ID that was discussed on here about a month ago.I kicked it around for a couple days and decided to contact the owner and after finding out more about it and getting some additional pics,I decided I couldn't pass up on the car and made the deal.
I'm a big fan of survivor cars and this one is in amazing shape, supposedly always garaged and still has it's original paint, top, interior and even the windshield is the factory installed one.I'm super excited to have it and will go pick it up in the Spring when the weather gets better.

Here's a link to the thread on here about the car:

For Sale - 1970 Sport Fury all original (is this a formal top?)

Great score, congrats!

Always nice to put a car to a name! And nice to see the owner joined here.

I'll be sure to post some pics when I head down to Idaho to pick the car up which should be sometime early next spring unless there's a break in the winter weather that I can plan ahead for.

I decoded the fender tag pic the seller sent me and the car has some nice options on it like B41 disc brakes,S62 tilt column w/rim blow wheel,A06 A/C package,A01 light group with the hood mounted turn signals and a few others along with the unique color combo. It should be an awesome and comfy cruiser.
