Thanks for the welcome. My 17yr old son just bought his first car 3 weeks ago; 1971 Sport Fury

We are new to restoration and look forward to reading, learning, and making friends here on your site. Already finding difficulty in locating seats and doors for this model but we will get there. Owner we purchased from didn't have much information on it's history as he had inherited from his dad.

Front door panels were homemade at some point and repainted to the current blue as well.

Thanks GOLDMYN, owner had said he thought it was gunmetal metallic and had done a little research and found a salesman's 1971 color & trim selector to see it as GA8 Slate Gray Metallic (Avail. Fury only).

Had been looking for production numbers for the Sport Fury with no avail; had heard it was around 4000 made. Thanks for confirming

It's a formal roof so it isn't a fastback.

Congratulations on your son's first car. It's great that he can learn to drive without any modern assistance systems!
When new, his Sport Fury had a very unusual color combination. GA8 with white interior, white vinyl roof and white side molding.
It's a shame the side molding is now missing.
