Some of us like our Chryslers in Australia... We like the large styling (although very hard to park in my apartment building.) They were bigger and more powerful than other vehicles (Fords and Holden) at the time...

Thank you for posting CE27G9C255795 -- the E61 at the bottom left corner, and the G in the 13-digit VIN, tell us that your Newport convertible's 383 engine was originally equipped with a 2-barrel carb.

A previous owner must have put twin pipes on the vehicle sometime in the past.

Which options are a bit unusual for that period? The black finish was very unusual in Australian cars of that era. Perhaps black vehicles were not that common in the US at that time either?

I find it surprising that just about everything works, even 55 years later!!!
