I wonder if those Indy pics were the blizzard of 1978. I remember a picture of a Beaver Dam Police car in the County. The snow drifts were up to 20 foot plus high. The big Oshkosh plows had a large snowblower on front and could only carve out a tunnel. Hence the squad ('77 Pontiac Lemans) was inside the tunnel.

You must be talkin' 'bout January '78 Pete. La Cross hit -65 actual that Time. It waz only -40 + wind chill =-95 that weekend in Moorhead, Mn. across from Fargo. I sat there waiting for the border to get open Monday so I could proceed to Winnipeg for ah Drop 'N Hook. That week End waz the start of 17 dayz straight where I didn't see it above -13 In Manitoba, N.D.,Mn., Wi., Il. In., Oh., or Mi. in those 2 weekz and 3 dayz. Ask me if I remember that January, lol

We are suppose to get 3" of snow Tuesday night and drop to 2°F for a day. They aren't alw as us right. We'll see what happens.
