Well it's a done deal on my new 69 Sport Fury Vert !!!

AWHHhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh..... I love it. :yaayy:

That B5 blue, blue interior and white top is gorgeous ...! You might want to rethink changing a well optioned specimen like that.
No matter what you do though .... your a lucky guy to land that car.

Ahh so true.... at least with this one I am working with a great canvas to begin with, the one I lost was a pea green with black interior and black roof, I changed the color to Blue, Roof to White and left the interior Black and lived with it for 37 years and was gonna change it up for sure.

No.... not disappointed at all Matt, You done good SPOT on !!! I found the build sheet it's in decent shape except for the hole in the middle of it but just about everything is readable. Thanks for your comment about dad, Its been a LoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooG grueling week with not much sleep and now to top it off I have some sort of stomach virus,,,,,,,,,,, :yuk: Thank God for my fiance !!! she is a doll... not into cars but very sympathetic of whats been going on. :love7: well I got to get some sleep ....... night all ..... & thanks for your support & acknowledgements. I will post more pictures in a bit when I am feeling better.

It is a nice color, I know I do not want a basic type of plain paint job however I also do not want to go over the top with nothing too too radical.
Take the stock color and and add a good amount of metalic to it and that paint job will explode!

As far as blue goes ...... it's tough to beat B5. I'd be careful not to alter the shade, and NO flip flop color matalic. JMHO.

"FLIP FLOP" !!!! HELL NO !!!!!!

:car flipper:
:icon_salut: I AM NOT JOHN KERRY !!!! :icon_salut::car flipper:

That's what I am leaning towards !!

Don't go too heavy on the metallic. It's a fine line between eye-catching and too much. A local guy spent a fortune restoring a '69 Chevelle SS and had some paint mixed that has an odd multicolor metalflake added to it. Absolutely ruins an otherwise nice car.

I surely can see that happening , I know I will depend on the expertise of the painter, When I did my old 69 over back the 80's the guy that worked on it was from an older body man from Puerto Rico and did his restorations old school using lead as filler and rarely used bondo. His painting was incredible on his restored cars ( 62 Ford Falcon convertible, 58 Olds 88 Convertible and a 66 Mustang Convertible ) all real nice rides (for Fords ) lol lol I know he showed me some neat painting tactics most of which I have forgotten.
