Sigh. This happened Friday. Adjuster says 11k in body damage so far. Going to the shop to check the sub frame and firewall. My other concern is the inverter system.

Then on Sunday we tried to burn down the house. Once from the inside then 4 hours later from the out when the garbage toter was fully on fire. Took two full sized fire extinguishers to put it out

Ouch, hopefully that was caused by someone else so their insurance pays.
I wish you a good rest of week.

Thats a damn shame - sorry to see that. I really like those vans. It sounds like yours is the hybrid version.......................

It doesn't take much to total a vehicle these days. I guess the impact wasn't severe enough to make the air bags go off if they haven't totalled it yet.

Hoping for the best overall outcome for you.

Ouch! That took a pretty hard lick. Hope you are ok.

Oh I'm fine. My wife, baby, and Monster in law were in the vehicle at the time of impact. They're all fine at this time.

My guess is that it will go much higher after mechanicals are taken into account. Looking at the damage to yours, and the limited amount on mine by comparison ($6K+ USD), I'll bet high teens if not more, if done correctly.

In the past a hit like that at the cowl with cracked windshield was an automatic write-off as totaled. Don’t ask me how I know.:(
My 300 was t-boned right in the driver side front door jamb and crumpled the front wheel and frame. I was really impressed how well they can pull that all out straight again.

If they do fix it and the other guys insurance is paying make sure to file a Diminished Value claim. Even without a salvage title a vehicle with an accident history does take a hit on value.

My car was leased and they tried to nickel and dime me at trade-in for everything trying to recover the diminished value.
