We've lost Locumob - Scott.

Scotts sister about an hour ago...

For those that don't know, Scott died unexpectedly on December 18th while at work. Our family is still grieving, and we appreciate your posts with your kind words, memories, and tributes. It is comforting to know that Scott was loved and appreciated by so many of you.

We do plan to have a memorial for Scott. We are thinking about a Celebration of Life in July, for what would have been his 50th birthday, in MN. If you'd like to attend, continue to follow this page as I'll be sure to post here when we have details. Alternatively, feel free to PM me and I'll add you to the list of people to contact.

Please keep sharing those stories for us all to enjoy during this difficult time.

~Amy (Scott's sister)

It was said somewhere in this thread that he worked swing shift. I know that routine all too well, have done it 2 different times over the years, one being 12 hr shifts and the other place was 8s, I remember having too many close calls driving home after being on nights... I usually made sure to stay on the back roads when I'd get off at 7am and not go main roads ... I didn't want to take out someone else because I was so tired. Especially when I had the job where I swung between 3 shifts more so than 2 shifts for some reason
That work schedule needs to be outlawed.
Done away with.
That work arrangement has to be detrimental to ones health even if you otherwise eat sleep exercise "perfectly" otherwise
I went through the swing shift mess at the railroad. One of the many things that ended up making me ill and have to leave. Same mess took out another good friend I worked with. You have to keep to a schedule or it will take you.

I just learned the shocking news from Wyatt. I am at a loss for words. Here is the first photo that I have with Scott, the night before the first CATL Drive. He's holding the door of the Cicada, the Monaco that he had brought from Minnesota to the event and parked next to Medina, my 1971 Monaco. That was back in 2019.

At the third CATL Drive two years later, Scott drove all the way from Minnesota to the starting point in Dwight, IL. He had guessed (correctly) that everyone else would join further north, so he drove all the way down to Central Illinois so that I would have a companion for the first leg of the event. That is the kind of person he was. Here is the car be brought together with Medina in Morris, IL on the way up

RIP, my friend.

I just read this news on For Trucks only. Very sorry for your loss Wyatt. I never had the opportunity to meet Scott in person, but we chatted here and on For Trucks only. I did call and chat with him a couple of years ago when he had a modern car question, he PM'd me and asked me to call him, because he knew that's my job. If you guy's didn't know I am an auto mechanic/technician. He will be missed

WAIT WE WHAAAT, ARE YOU KIDDIN ME?! I just read a post about his passing on FBBO then came on here to see if it was true and I saw things right… and wow, my stomach just sank. I’m at a loss for words here, Im having a hard time even writing this. I just can’t believe it. Now I’m not gonna sleep, unless maybe I cry myself to sleep. Scott was a great genuine down to earth guy, and he was family to all of us. Even me, even though I’m on the East Coast and he was in the Midwest. My condolences and thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, and everyone here at this difficult time. I met him at Carlisle and hung out with him there a few times. I remember he was drooling over a red Polara 4-speed, in the picture I attached here as motivation for his car. He also sent me a couple Mopar magazines he had that I wanted that he was going to get rid of for nothin, even when I offered him money for them… thats how nice he was! As OwenX11 kind of said, we would also PM a few times about how each other was doin what was goin on and how our car projects were comin along. As 69FuryIIIConvertible said, it just goes to show you never know how much time you have. Rest In Peace Buddy, you were taken way toooo young!

This one has taken me a couple days to get straight enough in my head to post.

I met Scott when he showed up at my dads funeral a few years ago. We kept in touch. quite a bit actually. I'd consider him a very good friend.

I was down this summer on an unrelated trip, stopped by his place and ended up touring his garage and storage, spent hours talking cars and life. I think I left there at 1 Am for a 5 hour drive home....

I am not sure my Polara would be on the road yet without phone call and text assistance from Scott, as well as Marty @HWYCRZR over the last few years.... the response I got to the first start in 7 years video I sent him was great. He was a couple months younger than me, that's scary and very sobering.

I will be making it to any memorial that happens. It's close enough there is no excuse to miss it, and I think he needs a liittle honorary C bodies show at his memorial. I hope to be able to shake hands with a few local FCBOers there. Please keep me in the loop on anything. Gonna have to make myself up an in-memorial banner to fly at Mopars in the park this coming year.

Man, this sucks so bad.

Seems that the Lord needs some good mechanics up there in Heaven as some of the best have had to leave and help him out. RIP Scott.

Man I’m so saddened to hear about his passing. I only met him twice at Mopars in the park. A genuine, nice guy who loved c bodies. Loved following along with his posts on here. Would be honored to attend a memorial/ volunteer some tire smoke in honor of Scott.

I don’t know if you guys all agree , but the outpouring of massive bro love we have for Scott / Locumob in these P.M.s we continue to add on and express shows just how much we all care for our friend !!!

I hope all this can be printed out and given to Scott’s family so that his sister Amy and their whole family can enjoy all these comments , and realize how special Scott is !!!

Craig…..

I'm new to this site and live in Southeastern Arizona, so have never interacted with him. But from all your posts, Scott was a great Mopar guy! Sorry for his family's loss. 49 is way too young! And it sounds like he'll be missed by a lot of great people. Enjoy every moment you can and drive the wheels off your Mopar!
