Old Man with a Hat
I have also learned from some of MY retired friends. They said: "I should never have retired. . ." I think I'll keep going until I can't anymore. . .

That is something that has always been on my mind. I had a neighbor (John) that would stop by and check out my cars, drink a few beers and tell stories. He came to the US from Germany after WW2. His Dad was drafted and became a local constable. He defected and hid out in a chicken coup behind their house. He ate nothing but raw chicken eggs for 2 weeks. Luckily the war ended when my neighbor found his dad, and he could come out. Anyways, lots of cool stories were told. John told me he retired at 58. The perfect age. Young enough to still do things, old enough to have made the most out of a career. Obviously hard to do, but a great goal.Im right there with ya
By choice?
We talked about this recently..... naaive thinking at 15 to 25 ,bad luck and bad decisions led me down the no retirement for me road. No regrets, that road led to this one. im good!
I think the really important thing here - whether yer gonna retire, or not - is having good health. It is what matters, whether - retired or still working.
I am eliminating the retirement step...
If you're happy and healthy, never regret past decisions. They were the best decision at that time. No mistakes. Just learning experiences. We talked about this recently..... naaive thinking at 15 to 25 ,bad luck and bad decisions led me down the no retirement for me road.
