Back in the middle 1970s, I was seeking some touch-up paint for our '66 Newport Town Sedan, in white. The local Chrysler dealer didn't have it so I looked elsewhere. I happened into a larger Ford dealership in search of such. When the counter guy asked "which white", I replied "white". He went and got one and I bought it. When I got it to the house and opened the cap, it was "creamy white", but Wembeldon White. I then got the old tube of Spinnaker White and compared the two. NOT the same. When I put it next to the top on our white over saddle metallic '69 Chevy pickup cab, THAT's when I noticed they were not anywhere close, with the Chevy white having a blue tint to it (aka "refrigerator white"). That was a learning experience.
