What is happening with the home page?

NOW ITS STARTING ITS **** AGAIN!! Refer back to my FIRST post, and start implementing those Four Steps I gave you.

No indication of anything viral so far. I'm not seeing anything you've described yet. My server techs are working on things as we speak.
 
Once I cleared my cache the links take me to the right places. When the site was down I got that page and then it remembered it I guess.

I thank you on behalf of all F*BO members/users for your work and efforts. You may NOT see anything known to the databases. I think there is some good evidence your server configuration remains sub-optimal at present. Try a VM mirror if you have the resources.....

when i log in, i get the home page but if i try to go to the forums this is what i get
(i dont feel comfortable installing something without knowing what it is....)

Got a message that Joey had sent me a PM to my inbox. Went to my inbox and nothing there. The next day, madness.
Now, when I go to FBBO, I get a warning from Safari and if I wanted to go to the website, it would be:

Big 10-4 there Good Buddy! I reckon they done FUUUUUKT UP! their damned servers, and DON'T KNOW WHAT THEY'RE DOING!!

Smells like MICRO$UCK WINBLOWZ being mis-used as a SERVER, instead of LANDFILL, which is the ONLY THING its GOOD FOR! See how the *NIX based machines catch the bullshit right off? Am using Chrome browser on Slackware 15 beta just now. Firefox and Falkon REFUSE to connect to this CRAP, but STINKING CORPORATE BROWSERS WILL. BTW, Apple Safari is based on KDE Konqueror, though doubtless polluted now beyond redemption......

Boot a SAFE rescue medium, like an optical drive with a GOOD FREE OPERATING SYSTEM, such as *BSD or a NON-CORPORATE GNU/LINUX environment, complete with suitable anti-viral software such as ClamAV. You can probably use KNOPPIX for this, which is a fairly well known Live GNU/Linux system. I run Slackware myself.

2. Scan your backups from the past 2 weeks also.

3. Get an alternate machine ready, with a clean OS install and CLEAN webpages running, sans user accounts.

4. Start restoring accounts after the data has been certified clean by your scans.


Anyway, I see that Google Chrome runs the FCBO pages alright, for now, though Firefox still complains, as you see from my screen capture.

I suppose I can reboot my server, as it has an uptime of 3 days, and with the kernel upgrade it might be wise to reload the modules. IFF I get a clean session after this, I won't bother you further, but I expect to be bugging you again, soon.

I hope you get your server WELL restored to SAFE function.

i got the same thing on wed. figured they are having problems and did not know what this was and did not install it.
 
when i go to login at the top of the screen i get in red letters website is not secure. do not remember seeing that before
 
Instead of logging in each time I hit the “ recent posts” tab and I’m already logged in. Screwy!

Good Work Joey! Things have worked fine today. Not knowing anything more about your servers than what we saw yesterday, I really can't say anything about them, other than suggesting the sort of WIPE I did in frustration.

as I'm sure you know, software doesnt always operate as expected
