good info, forgot about all the other vanilla cars out there that can spank us. That's not even the fastest Honda, yet that performance is squarely 300Hurst territory (not our fastest C, of course, but a highly regarded one).

274hp Kia and Hyundai sedans, Tauruses probably, 283hp Chrysler 200s, the list would be pretty long.

I drove 2 rentals in the last year, a Chrysler 200 and a Camry, both 4cyl but with 6-speed ATs. Both were very spunky and got up to speed with no fuss. If one of those caught the average C-body off-guard at a stoplight, you wouldn't have enough space to catch them. The V6 versions with 100hp more? Fuggedaboudit...

If you just want a nice big car that will set you back in the seat with torque go for an RB or stroked 400 or even a 383 if that's what you have.

I have a set of new in box 383 .030 pistons that I'll probably be selling btw if you go that route and and a few RB and B big blocks as well if you are interested

383 can run. good motor plenty speed equipment out there i am not sure but i think 440 heads will fit

The garden variaty 383s and 440s share heads..."906" castings...I think these are the most prevalant castings out there...there are other castings...452s, 915s for example ...I think the 452s have hardend vavle seats...you want that for today's garbage gasoline. Anyways its your car do wathca like. Might not be my taste but so what...aint my car. Hope this help a bit.
