What Size Wheels and Tires for my 70 Plymouth Fury 3

Hello Everyone, new to the site:



I have a 70 Plymouth Fury 3 convertible and I’m looking at getting a new set of aftermarket wheels and tires so I can swap from the stock wheels and caps with an aftermarket set. A lot of the wheel simulators don’t have my car to check and I am totally lost about how to size wheels and tires. My question is as follows assuming zero offset:



-what size tire would I need if I wanted a 17” wheel without any modifications?

-what size tire would I need if I wanted a 18” wheel without any modifications?

you have many good options for a fusie C body (1969-1973). hardest decision maybe chosing what you like.

suggestion? start with inch diameter of tire standard for that car in closest metric equivalent. OE wheel likely 6 inch width, 5x4.5 inch bolt pattern.

then vary a bit from OE spec to try to get the look you want given a particular tire/wheel combination.

couple things if you have time. these are quite large threads.
