Mercury Marine built the LT-5, Lotus designed engine that they put in the ZR 1 Corvettes back in the day so I guess it can't be all that bad.

They have both versions, clockwise rotation and counter-clockwise rotation. Usually used in Inboard applications one spins normal and one spins in reverse. The cam is ground for the reverse firing order. Here is a little about themThey’re based on auto engines, but don’t they rotate in the opposite direction? Or would putting in an auto cam shaft make it fire in the right direction?
