This is Venice Italy. The white bridge with the arches is the famous Rialto_Bridge, first built in about the year 1200. Is one of four bridges spanning Venice's main canal, the Grand Canal (kind of like "main streeet" in the island city.the walking paths are names. theyare "streets"/walkways but they are more like pedestrians routes in water and the taxis are "boats" (godolas mainly but some motorized ferries too) on the minor canals.
The staged photo BMW is sort parked at the Rialto bus station on "Riva de Ferro" . You can see Rialto bridge looking north up the Grand Canal and the car is somewhere on the right where the pedestrians are standing.
BMW got special permission to use barges to pose/move the car around Venice because you cant drive on the island or on the main/minor bridges. lotta walking.
