Where was this Mopar Brochure/Ad Photo shot?

I snipped the pic in #757 from 1940-ish movie clip describing the ostensiblle location.

What I put in #759 was an example of many reuses, not just with the blonde and her Caddie. The various reuses is my interpretation of the twist ... unless #757 is NOT really what/where I think it is.

Make sense? Anyway, I wil continue to ponder while awaiting your reveal.

:)

Two different buildings, not a facelift. One of the webpages with the pictures with the truck tell you where it was (close).

i didnt allow cookies, therefore, one of the sites that illuminated this for me was NOT showing all the visual media.

I "accepted" their cookies intrusion for a few minutes

yep, definitely TWO different joints. Related ancestry. Rich history too .

I have almost 200 different pictures (almost all found on FCBO) that I have located with varying degree of difficulties and techniques. I chose this one as I felt you didn't need to depend on the reverse image search or other tricks (that I'll get into later).

I'll give this another day or so before I move on.

I also pick them from a combination of sources:

1. I knew/been to/lived near the particular place depicted. No reverse imaging needed . I just go to/confirm the place on the internet to see its current status.

Or ...

2. where the vehicle was looked uniquely interesting (e.g., architecture, scenery, .etc) to me, but i otherwise had NO idea where it was on sight.

In essence, I played the game before offering it up as an OP. I use the reverse imaging technique a LOT in such circumstances. Saves me time, helps me pick "clues", etc.

You're right though: There are HUNDREDS of photos here on FCBO that could make fun games. However, some are so hard, and/or difficult/time consuing, internet-intensive, etc,. they appeal to a smaller segment of the Forum (IMHO).

Anyway, looking forward to whatever you or any OP wants to put up. Opportunity to continue a lifetime of learning something for me -- even as the "grizzled, old coot" I am fortunate to have gotten to now.

I'll close this one out, the next ones should be open to more people.

At first glance the buildings look the same but it didn’t take long for the differences to stand out.

Chimney locations, lack of dormers and overall roof shape. So was the building modified or is this a different building. So the hunt for more pictures was on.

Pretty quick I found another picture showing the same configuration as the one with the Cadillac and model. With that picture I was led to another picture with information on the location.

I now know where it was I just needed to verify the information found on the internet.

Sometime in the 90s the building was torn down.

If you look at the picture of the truck pulling into the station you can see the rooflines of some structures in the distance. This feature can be seen today.

Here are some vintage pictures of the existing building just to show it has always been that way.

Maybe not as much fun with the building no longer there but it was the deception that made it interesting for me.
